The Office of Grants Management and Title I administers programs funded by federal, state and private agencies to promote student achievement. The office is responsible for researching, developing, implementing, operating, and reporting on more than 80 grant funded programs annually. In carrying out these responsibilities, the office provides leadership and technical assistance to various departments, schools and stakeholder groups.
The Grants Management Office, located in Room 210 in the Durkin Administration Building at 20 Irving Street, provides support for the grant administration.
Grant Office Staff
Written materials are available for research and help including texts such as the National Guide to Funding for Elementary and Secondary Education, Grant Writing for Teachers and Winning Grants Step by Step. Worcester Public Schools' personnel are welcome to come in and peruse the collection.
Technical assistance is provided through the identification of potential resources and the review of proposals. Grant Management Office staff are also available to provide training. School personnel are expected to complete the Grant/Partnership Development Form when applying for a grant or partnering with an outside agency to seek funding.
